Via Shaister: a hilarious make your own Thomas Friedman column. (And apparently great minds think alike.) Shai wonders aloud whether to code it up in Javascript.
Incidentally, some people seem to think "shyster" [for non-Americans: a slang word meaning "predatory lawyer"] is an antisemitic slur, possibly because of its similatirty and dictionary proximity to "Shylock". This is about as silly as people thinking "niggardly" (meaning "miserly/vrekkig" since about the 14th century, according to the Oxford English Dictionary) is a racial slur because of its accidental similarity to the n-word.
Merriam-Webster attributes the etymology of "shyster" to a pettifogging 1840s New York lawyer named "Scheuster". OED invokes a now obsolete meaning of "shy" (disreputable) with the "-ster" ending (compare "huckster", "gangster", "hipster",...). Most people familiar with the German language would think of a corruption of "Scheisser" ("defecator", metaphotical uses being obvious). Although, coming back to Thomas Friedman, I can think of at least one profession more engaged in sh*t-peddling than lawyers...
